The PureProject Group FAQ

Who Are Your Clients?

The PureProject Group provides project management training, support and guidance to service professionals, new service businesses and professional service firms. We focus on companies that work in client driven settings and have project-based work.

Why does the PureProject Group focus on service firms?

We have lots of experience working with service companies and we enjoy working with people who are passionate about helping others. We founded The PureProject Group to give service businesses powerful project management tools and techniques that have historically been used only in large organizations. We believe small companies can benefit just as much, if not more, by using scheduling, budgeting, risk management and scope control processes.

How does your work experience qualify you to work with service firms?

Debbie Lefkowitz, Principal at The PureProject Group, has been a project manager, department head and process guru at five service firms. Debbie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has an MBA. Based upon her work experience, Debbie understands that service companies need simple project management tools and techniques to save time and money.

Can you help me if my services are not in the software or Internet industries?

Sure. Our philosophy is that all service businesses can benefit from project management. Our materials are designed to help service companies save time and money, and improve the way they run projects. It doesn't matter what type of services you deliver, you can still benefit from our time and cost saving techniques.

Do I really need Project Management? After all, my company is pretty small.

We feel that any company, no matter what their size, can benefit by using project management tools and techniques. At The PureProject Group, we help you identify and implement techniques that will save you time and money, and strengthen your team and client relationships.

Will you need to work out of our office?

We will need to spend time in your office at the beginning of the project to understand the nature of your work and your processes. The amount of time we'll spend in your office, working with your team, will depend upon the nature and complexity of our engagement. We are quite flexible and are happy to set up an arrangement that works for you.

How often will we need to meet with you?

Our projects always include a kickoff meeting and a post project review. The number of interim meetings depends upon the nature of the project. We will send you weekly status reports throughout the project and usually recommend weekly phone check-ins as well. We typically hold training sessions in your office, as this reduces the time required of your team.
